Vacancy: Care Support Worker

We have both full and part-time work available organised in typical shift patterns; with some weekends and nights work also available. Most of our service users have mental disabilities and learning difficulties, and will require some elements of personal care support. Although, no formal academic qualification is required, but a level 2 NVQ in health and social care or equivalent is an advantage. Besides, having the ability to really get to know those you support, be respectful, caring, listen to, and understand someone’s aspirations & life preferences to support them to be happy & fulfilled is essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Ideally, providing personal care is utmost to most of our service users. You will be supporting people to lead a happy and positive life within their homes. If successful, as a member of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives through providing quality and per-person-centred care. You will empower people to achieve their goals and develop their independent living skills by using your creativity, passion, and determination.

    • The support you will provide can range from shopping, to engage in social activities, accessing education/employment, sorting out correspondence, managing finances, and tenancy sustainment.

    • Assist in the development of the philosophy, goals and objectives for the Care Practice.

    • Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of Care implementation and delivery.

    • Implementation to meet and maintain Care standards.

    • Work in cooperation with members of multi-disciplinary health teams in order to maximise opportunities for Service User's therapeutic Care.

    • Ensure Service User rights are protected.

  •  
    • Encourage a model of self-care and Service User’s rehabilitation.

  •  
    • Record relevant activities in Care Plans.

  •  
    • Evaluate standards of Care competence.

In addition to these functions’ employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required such as: maintain Care skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice. To provide Care in accordance with current best practice under the direction of the Manager.

Perks and benefits:

Salary: From £22,000 to £24, 000 per year, plus bonuses or earn up to £500 weekly, 28 holidays (including your birthday off) plus the length of service bonus holidays

Locations:

Main location is London, although we may have varied roles and shifts in the outskirts and outside of London.
